1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of moderncollectibles.co.uk (the “Site”) and any purchase you make through it. By browsing the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

2. About Our Products

Each piece we sell is part of a strictly limited, individually numbered edition, produced on aluminium or slate and finished by hand. Once an edition sells out, it is not reopened or reprinted. Product images are as accurate as we can make them, but due to the handmade nature of each piece, minor natural variation in colour, grain, or finish between individual units should be expected and is not considered a fault.

3. Pricing & Payment

All prices on the Site are shown in pounds sterling (£) and include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed. Payment is processed securely at checkout through our payment provider(s); we do not store your full card details. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where payment cannot be verified or authorised.

4. Orders & Order Acceptance

Placing an order through the Site is an offer to purchase. A contract is only formed once we confirm and accept your order (typically by email confirmation). We may decline or cancel an order — for example, if a limited edition sells out before your payment is confirmed, if there is a pricing or listing error, or if we suspect fraud — in which case we will notify you and issue a full refund of any payment taken.

5. Shipping & Delivery

We currently offer free, insured shipping within the UK. Estimated delivery times are shown at checkout and are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Because every piece is individually numbered and often made to order, please allow additional handling time before dispatch during high-demand drops.

6. Returns, Refunds & Cancellations

If you are a consumer in the UK, you generally have a legal right to cancel an order within 14 days of receiving it, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, and to return the item for a refund provided it is returned in its original, unused condition with its certificate of ownership and packaging intact. If a piece arrives faulty or damaged, please contact us within a reasonable time with photos so we can arrange a replacement, repair, or refund. Because each edition is individually numbered and limited, replacement may not always be possible once an edition has sold out, in which case a refund will be offered instead.

7. Product Care

Aluminium and slate pieces should be kept away from direct, prolonged sunlight and excessive moisture, and cleaned only with a soft, dry cloth. Any care instructions included with your piece form part of these Terms.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site — including artwork, photography, text, logos, and site design — is owned by or licensed to Modern Collectibles and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our prior written permission.

9. User Accounts

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for all activity under your account. Please notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Site — including attempting unauthorised access, interfering with its operation, scraping content, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Modern Collectibles will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Site or purchase of our products. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Modern Collectibles against any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Site or breach of these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you in your country of residence.
